Delete Your Account

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your Easyology account and the personal information associated with it, what we remove, what we are required to keep, and how long the process takes. It applies to the Easyology consumer app, the Easyology Business Owner app, and the Easyology Business Staff app, as well as the Easyology web portal.

1. Easyology consumer app — delete in the app

If you book appointments through the Easyology app, you can delete your own account at any time without contacting us:

  1. Open the Easyology app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Under Account & Privacy, tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm by typing DELETE and entering the verification code we send to your phone.

Deletion happens immediately once confirmed. It cannot be undone, and we send a confirmation text message when it is complete.

2. Business Owner and Staff apps — request removal

Accounts in the Business Owner and Business Staff apps are created by an administrator rather than by the user, so they are removed the same way. Staff members should ask the business owner or manager to remove their access. Business owners, and anyone whose request cannot be handled by their business, can email us at support@easyologyus.com from the address on the account. Include the business name so we can locate the record. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request.

3. What is deleted

When an account is deleted, we remove or irreversibly scrub the personal information attached to it:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address.
  • Your profile details, time zone, and notification preferences.
  • The personal details held in your client record at every business where that record was created through the app: your name, phone number, email address, the address on that record, and the birthday you gave in the app.
  • Your rewards at those businesses: the points balance is closed and your referral codes stop working. The business keeps its points history as part of its records.
  • If a business already had its own record of you before you linked the app, that record (including its points and referral code) stays with the business. We only remove its link to your account and the birthday you gave in the app.
  • Your saved providers and favourites.
  • Your active sessions and registered devices, so the account can no longer be signed in to or receive notifications.

4. What is kept, and why

A business that you booked with or bought from keeps its own record of the appointment, the sale, and any payment taken, because it needs that history for its accounts, tax reporting, and dispute resolution. The personal details on your client record are removed, but some information is kept for a time, for two reasons:

  • Legal claims. While you still owe a business money, it keeps the delivery address on your sales and its collection notes about you. A debt the business wrote off keeps them until it is paid, or for up to 7 years after the write-off. A sale that is still inside the business’s return window, or has a parcel still on its way, keeps its delivery address. Once none of these applies, they are cleared automatically.
  • Accounting records. Notes on the business’s customer account and store credit records are kept as part of its accounting records.

We also keep a minimal, personal-information-free log that the deletion took place.

As explained in our Privacy Policy, where a business holds records about its own customers, that business is the controller of those records. If you want a business to remove information it holds about you beyond what deletion scrubs, contact the business directly and we will assist them in responding.

5. How long it takes

  • In-app deletion — immediate, as soon as you confirm.
  • Email requests — within 30 days of us verifying the request, and usually much sooner.
  • Backups — residual copies in encrypted backups are overwritten on our normal backup rotation and are not used to restore deleted accounts.

6. Before you delete

  • Cancel any upcoming appointments first. Deleting your account does not cancel bookings you have already made, and the business will still be expecting you.
  • Your phone number is reserved for 30 days after deletion, so it cannot be used to create a new Easyology account during that period. This protects the number from being claimed by someone else immediately after you leave.
  • Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its booking history, or its saved providers.
